Four Jiggers

The gin market has developed rapidly over the past few years, and the competition is continuously increasing. In 2020 alone, more than 1000 new gins were introduced to the Danish market. Many new players have entered the category, but only a few have succeeded in establishing themselves as real brands. The story of Four Jiggers is another. With a background as a long-standing supplier of all kinds of gin, tastings and a countless number of hours behind our own bar, we introduce the company’s first own gin – Four Jiggers. Four Jiggers is an organic quality gin, produced at own distillery. Four Jiggers gin is the starting point for a name change and in the future the name will cover activities, physical bars and products in own brand name.

 

A jigger is a slang term for the small measuring cup that tilts elegantly between the bartender’s fingers, and like an hourglass-shaped glass, it has two different dimensions at each end. The word jigger is derived from the English navy, where the crew’s daily ration of spirits was nicknamed after the middle mast of the ship, the Jigger mast.
